Don’t Let Divisive Politics Distract Us From the Real Problems

Don’t Let Divisive Politics Distract Us

Have you noticed how, during every election or major political event, some political parties try to turn us against each other—especially by bringing up religion, caste, or community? It often feels as if they want us to fight with our neighbors and friends over differences that don’t really matter in our day-to-day lives.

But why do they do this?

The answer is simple: distraction. When people are busy arguing over religion or identity, they aren’t paying attention to the bigger issues—like corruption, poor governance, or illegal activities of politicians.

Corruption and misuse of power hurt everyone, no matter what religion or community you belong to. Every rupee stolen through corrupt deals is money that could have gone to better schools, hospitals, roads, or jobs for all of us. But when we’re busy fighting each other, politicians know we won’t come together to demand answers or accountability.

This is how they stay in power. Divide and rule is an old trick, and unfortunately, it still works. As long as we’re distracted by hate and division, those in power get away with cheating us.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Let’s wake up and see what’s happening around us. Instead of letting politicians use religion and identity to divide us, we should unite as citizens and demand honest governance and justice. We need to hold our leaders responsible—not just for what they say on TV or social media, but for what they actually do for the people.

Only when we stand together, refusing to be divided by politicians with their own selfish motives, can we break the cycle of corruption and ensure a better future for everyone.

Let’s not fall for the same old tricks. It’s time to demand real change—together.
