Police in Delhi caught 8 people who were planning something very bad. This happened on February 22, 2026. The bad plan was to hurt people in big places in Delhi, like the famous Red Fort and busy markets, and maybe some temples too.
The 8 people came from two states: 6 from Tamil Nadu (a place called Tiruppur, where they worked making clothes) and 2 from West Bengal. Police say these people got help and orders from groups in Pakistan and Bangladesh. One big group is called Lashkar-e-Taiba (a terrorist group from Pakistan). Pakistan's spy people (called ISI) are also said to be involved.
Police took away their phones, extra SIM cards, and fake ID cards. Some of the arrested people might be from Bangladesh but used fake Indian papers to stay here.

Tamil Nadu and West Bengal will have big elections soon (people will vote to choose new leaders). Some politicians say these two states are too nice to Muslim people, and that makes it easy for bad guys to hide or come in.
