The Real Jesus vs. the Fake “Rice Bag Jesus”: What Matthew 5, 6 and 7 Really Teach
The Fake “Rice Bag Jesus”: What Matthew 5, 6 and 7 Really Teach
In India, almost everyone has heard of “Jesus”. But the Jesus that 99.99% of people know is not the real one from the Bible. He is the “rice bag Jesus” or “conversion Jesus”. Missionaries come to villages with rice bags, clothes, school fees or hospital help. They say, “Convert and get these things. Stay Hindu and you will go to hell.” Churches build big buildings, collect money and count converts like a business target. This fake Jesus was created by religious institutions for power, money and numbers.
But the real Jesus never did any of this. He was a simple teacher from Galilee. One day, on a hillside, He sat down and gave the most important talk of His life – the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7). In these three chapters He taught 18 clear elements – simple rules for how to live, how to think and how to love. These teachings are for everyone – rich or poor, Hindu or anyone. They change your heart, not just your religion papers.
Here are the 18 elements the real Jesus taught. Read them slowly. Then see how the fake Jesus created by institutions does the exact opposite. This will make you think.
The 18 Elements from Matthew 5, 6 and 7
Read Matthew 5, 6 and 7 yourself. Ask the real Jesus to show you the truth. He is still the same – humble, loving, honest. He does not need your religion paper. He needs your honest heart. The real Jesus is waiting. Not for your conversion count. But for you to live the 18 elements He taught. That is the Jesus worth knowing.
- Be poor in spirit (Matthew 5:3) – Stay humble. Know you need God.
Fake Jesus: Church leaders act proud. They show big cars, big stages and say, “We are the only true way.” - Mourn for what is wrong (5:4) – Feel sad when people suffer or sin.
Fake Jesus: Uses people’s pain only to push conversion. No real comfort without changing religion. - Be meek (5:5) – Be gentle, not pushy.
Fake Jesus: Forces conversion drives. Threatens hell if you say no. - Hunger and thirst for righteousness (5:6) – Want to do right from the heart.
Fake Jesus: Cares only about outer change – new name, new baptism card. - Be merciful (5:7) – Show kindness to everyone.
Fake Jesus: Shows mercy only to those who convert. Others are called “lost” or “idol worshippers”. - Be pure in heart (5:8) – Keep your thoughts clean.
Fake Jesus: Focuses on public shows of faith, not private thoughts. - Be a peacemaker (5:9) – Make peace between people.
Fake Jesus: Creates division. Tells new converts to leave family, stop festivals and call old gods false. - Be happy when persecuted for doing right (5:10) – Stand for truth even if people hate you.
Fake Jesus: Uses money and gifts so people convert without any real trouble or cost. - Be salt of the earth (5:13) – Preserve goodness in society.
Fake Jesus: Makes separate Christian colonies. Does not mix or help the whole society. - Be light of the world (5:14) – Shine by your good works, not words.
Fake Jesus: Shines big banners and loud meetings to attract converts, not quiet good deeds. - Do not be angry without reason (5:22) – Control anger.
Fake Jesus: Preaches anger against other religions to scare people into joining. - Do not lust in your heart (5:28) – Keep eyes and mind pure.
Fake Jesus: Rarely talks about inner purity. Focuses on outer rules like dress or food. - Love your enemies and pray for those who hurt you (5:44) – Love even those against you.
Fake Jesus: Teaches to see Hindus, Muslims or others as enemies of God. No love, only conversion target. - Do good deeds in secret (6:1-4) – Help the poor quietly.
Fake Jesus: Gives rice bags in public meetings, takes photos, and announces “X families converted today!” - Pray to God in private (6:5-6) – Talk to God alone, not to impress people.
Fake Jesus: Holds huge public prayer rallies and healing shows to get more followers. - Do not store treasures on earth (6:19-21) – Do not run after money and buildings.
Fake Jesus: Big churches collect tithes, build palaces and rich pastors live in luxury. - Do not worry about food, clothes or tomorrow (6:25-34) – Trust God daily.
Fake Jesus: Uses poor people’s worry about rice and jobs to offer help – but only if they convert. - Do not judge others (7:1-5) – Stop judging. Fix your own heart first.
Fake Jesus: Judges everyone outside the church. Calls other faiths “satanic” or “pagan” to win converts.
