State and National Destruction: The Lack Of Knowledge Hosea 4:6

The Bible contains a powerful warning in the book of Hosea, chapter 4, verse 6. It says:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

This statement is not just about religion. It is a universal truth about how nations fall. When citizens do not think carefully, their country suffers.

Today, India faces a similar danger. We are destroying our own future because we lack the right kind of knowledge. Even worse, we misunderstand what true knowledge means.

The Illusion of Fame

In India, we confuse fame with capability. We look at the wrong things when choosing our leaders.

  • Celebrities and Actors: We love movies, so we elect movie stars. But acting on a screen is not the same as governing a state. A good actor knows how to deliver lines. They do not necessarily know how to build roads, improve schools, or manage an economy.

  • The Rise of Influencers: Today, even internet personalities and people from adult entertainment industries gain massive followings. Fame is cheap now. If we vote based only on popularity, we hand our country over to people who lack any political understanding.

  • Corrupt Politicians: We often re-elect corrupt leaders just because they are powerful, rich, or belong to our caste. We choose them because they are familiar names, not because they have good plans.

When emotion guides our votes instead of logic, we get bad governance.

Where We Go Wrong: The Wrong Kind of Education

You might ask: "But India has so many graduates and engineers. How can we lack knowledge?"

The problem is our thinking formation. Our education system teaches us what to think, but not how to think.

  • Rote Learning: We memorize facts to pass exams. This is information, not knowledge.

  • Lack of Critical Thinking: True knowledge is the ability to analyze. It is asking: "Is this politician telling the truth? Does this policy actually work?"

  • Blind Worship: Because we do not learn critical thinking, we fall into hero-worship. We treat politicians like gods. We stop questioning them.

This flaw in our education system backfires heavily. Highly educated people still vote for criminals because they lack political literacy and civic awareness.

How a Nation Dies from Within

A country does not always get destroyed by foreign armies. It can be destroyed from the inside by its own voters.

When we lack knowledge, we make bad choices. When we make bad choices, our institutions crumble. Laws become weak. Public money disappears into private pockets. The honest citizens suffer, and the youth lose their future.

If we want to save our nation, we must heed the warning of Hosea. We must stop voting with our hearts and start voting with our minds. True knowledge is our only shield.
